As part of the Distinguished Speaker Series, Charlotte Biology and Biotechnology (CBB) Exchange Group presents "New Mechanism of Genomic Instability - Large Insertions at DNA Breaks" featuring Grzegorz Ira, Ph.D.

Ira is Professor, Department of Molecular and Human Genetics and Member of Dan Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Baylor College of Medicine

The CBB Exchange Group, sponsored by University of North Carolina Charlotte and the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, brings faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, as well as technicians and scholars in biology and biotechnology together in the greater Charlotte region for information exchange, and to foster industry and academic partnership, economic development and professional networking opportunities.

The Distinguished Speaker Series theme for academic year 2020-2021 is Genome Integrity and Cancer Etiology.
