As part of the Distinguished Speaker Series, Charlotte Biology and Biotechnology (CBB) Exchange Group presents "Chromosome Damage Repair and Tumor Suppression Via the BRCA Axi" featuring Patrick Sung, Ph.D

Sung is associate dean for Research at the Long School of Medicine, Professor and Interim Chair in the Department of Biochemistry & Structural Biology, and Robert A. Welch Distinguished Chair in Chemistry at UT Health San Antonio.

The CBB Exchange Group, sponsored by University of North Carolina Charlotte and the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, brings faculty, graduate and undergraduate students, as well as technicians and scholars in biology and biotechnology together in the greater Charlotte region for information exchange, and to foster industry and academic partnership, economic development and professional networking opportunities.

The Distinguished Speaker Series theme for academic year 2020-2021 is Genome Integrity and Cancer Etiology.
