Jonathan Fogle, DVM, Ph.D., DACVIM; Associate Professor, Microbiology and Immunology
Jonathan Fogle, Ph.D., is the head of the Comparative Immunology Research Laboratory, his research focuses on immune dysfunction in AIDS lentiviral disease and cancer. He is the past director of the Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting core facility at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine (NCSU-CVM) and is currently the faculty advisor for Clinical Immunology and Flow Cytometry at NCSU-CVM.
He earned his veterinary degree from Ross University, and he is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Fogle received his doctorate in immunology from NCSU where he currently is an associate professor of microbiology and immunology in the department of Population Health and Pathobiology at NCSU-CVM.
Jennifer A. Filbey, Ph.D., CEO, Mazen Animal Health
Jennifer Filbey is the CEO of Mazen Animal Health, Inc. a company disrupting animal disease prevention with a novel vaccine platform that creates “edible” vaccines in corn seed that can be dosed with feed for farm animals.. Mazen offers customers cost effective, safe to deliver, efficacious, room temperature stable vaccines to increase productivity and ensure a continuous food supply. Their initial focus is in swine for the Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea Virus (PEDV) with other development expanding into other farm animal vaccines as well as vaccines dosed in treats for companion animals.
Prior to Mazen, Filbey founded and led New Perspectives, Inc. for ten years and previously held senior leadership positions at Nobex and Nektar Therapeutics. She has doctoral degree in Physical Chemistry from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University and a BA in Chemistry from Western Maryland University.
