2019 SRAI North Carolina Chapter Meeting
Come join SRAI's North Carolina Chapter for their annual meeting!
On April 16, the North Carolina Chapter of Society of Research Administrators International (SRAI-NC) will host our annual chapter meeting at the Embassy Suites in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A day of workshops (April 15), a networking reception and dinner groups will be followed by a day of concurrent training sessions focusing on relevant, timely topics presented by research administration experts. SRAI certificate-fulfilling sessions and workshops will add significant value, while a reception with a fun activity (a Sip and Paint session at a slight extra charge) and dinner groups (on your own at nearby restaurants) will add networking and fellowship opportunities.
Keynote Speaker
This year's keynote speaker is Dara Silver, vice president of grant programs and partner relations at The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County (the oldest municipal arts council in the country). In line with the theme of this year's meeting, The Artistry of Research Administration, Dara will share her perspective on the value of the arts to communities and the nation in terms of cultural preservation, economic development and quality of life. Her keynote promises to inspire us to see from different viewpoints while still connecting to what we do every day as research administrators.
Registration
Full or Chapter membership in SRA International is required to attend the meeting. If you are not a member of SRA International, your annual membership fee will be included in the meeting registration fee. Full meeting registration includes Monday networking reception, breakfast and lunch on Tuesday and Tuesday concurrent sessions.
Preregistration ends April 2.
More Information
This year, SRAI-NC will be supporting two worthy local organizations. Art supplies will be collected for Brenner Children's Hospital's Child Life Department, and wish list items collected for the Ronald McDonald House of Winston-Salem. A collection box for each organization will be set up near the Registration Desk to collect items from their wish list.
