  Four of the top-5 vaccine manufacturers have set up shop in North Carolina (Merck, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer and Novartis) -- and at least 15 are developing or making vaccines.
• Quality Workforce
  The recent opening of the $1 billion, 430,000-square-foot Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics manufacturing plant in Holly Springs brought more than 350 jobs, most being filled by graduates of our biomanufacturing programs.
