
Registration Information
- Register early! Early registration is recommended to ensure the best chance of being accepted into the workshop you desire.
- Registration fee. A non-refundable $50 registration fee is required.
- Your school or LEA may pay/reimburse your registration fee. Check with your business office for prior approval of participation. We are happy to provide a receipt upon request.
Participants Receive
- Free workshop tuition
- Free room (double-occupancy*) and board (two meals per day)
- $50 per day stipend** (you must complete the workshop to receive the stipend)
* Participants may elect to lodge in single rooms, but will be responsible for the total cost of their room.
** Stipends will be mailed within three weeks of the final day of the workshop.
Refund Policy
The $50 registration fee is refundable ONLY in the event of cancellation during the initial registration period (four weeks prior to the beginning of each workshop). Registration fees will NOT be refunded for the following groups:
- Participants who complete the workshop
- Registrants who cancel AFTER the initial registration period has passed
- Registrants who fail to attend the workshop
How to Register
To apply for a workshop or for more information, click on the workshop of interest listed below. If you wish to attend more than one workshop, a separate registration must be completed, and a separate registration fee submitted for each workshop.
Please note: Registration has been closed for the "Microbial Magic for Middle School Teachers" workshop at UNC-Charlotte. The waiting list is also currently closed. If you have questions please contact amy_black@ncbiotech.org.

** Teachers who have not completed an NCBC Introductory Biotechnology workshop are encouraged (but not required) to attend an additional two-day workshop offered by the instructors at NCSU. See workshop description for details.
