2008 Biotechnology Workshops for Educators

Registration Information

Workshops will be taught on campuses around the state. Apart from the $75 registration fee, workshop tuition, room (double-occupancy) and board (two meals per day) will be free for North Carolina educators. In addition, a stipend of $50 per day will be provided to participants who complete a workshop. Stipends will be mailed within three weeks of the final day of the workshop. Participants may elect to lodge in single rooms, but will be responsible for the total cost of their room.

The $75 registration fee is ONLY refundable during the initial registration period, which lasts until four weeks prior to the start of each workshop (check individual workshop descriptions for the specific date). Registration fees for applicants who cancel after this date, those who fail to attend the workshop, and those who complete the workshop are NOT refundable.

Public school teachers: Your school district may pay the registration fee or reimburse you for any out-of-pocket expenses. Be sure to get prior approval for participation. We will be happy to provide a receipt upon request.

Early registration is recommended to ensure the best chance of being accepted into the workshop you desire.

The table below shows the workshops offered this summer. For more information and to apply for a workshop, click on the workshop of interest listed below. If you wish to attend more than one workshop, a separate registration must be completed, and a separate registration fee submitted for each workshop.
