The Queta Bond Auditorium, with 170 theater-style seats, is our largest capacity room. This is the only room we rent in which food and drink are not allowed. The Congressional Room is our largest capacity room in which clients may eat and drink. It seats 100 participants reception-style.
Where are the meals and break services usually set up?
Usually, the meals and break service are set up outside the room on a buffet. The meals and break service can be set up inside the meeting room when requested and if space permits.
How late can a food order be placed?
All food orders must be placed with our meeting planners no later than five days before the event. Cancellations for food require 48 hours notice. For groups of 75 or more, placing food orders at least two weeks before the event would be most helpful.

The Biotechnology Center cannot allow any food to be taken off-site because of health regulations.
When is parking security necessary?
Parking security will be added to groups of 75 or more people. This is done as a safety precaution and to make efficient use of time and space during the parking process.
Is there an audio-visual technician on-site?
We have a conference audiovisual technician. The technician routinely sets up and troubleshoots basic audio-visual equipment including: overhead projectors, slide projectors, and LCD/DLP projectors.

On the occasion the Biotechnology Center receives an audio-visual request outside the expertise of our staff technician, we call on the services of our preferred audio-visual vendor, who will provide a technician for the event.

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center is a private, non-profit corporation funded by the General Assembly to catalyze the growth of the state's biotechnology industry. As part of its mission, the Biotechnology Center facilitates the exchange of ideas between diverse groups engaged in biotechnology research and commercialization.
