The Hamner Conference Center is a beautiful, capable facility centrally located in Research Triangle Park.
A service of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, the Hamner Center is equipped with more than 19,000 square feet of meeting space available to biotechnology and non-biotechnology clients for either professional or educational events.
The Hamner Center is named for Charles E. Hamner, retired president and CEO of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center, whose 14 years of leadership supported tremendous growth of biotechnology in the state.
He was instrumental in ensuring that a conference facility was part of the Biotechnology Center's headquarters.
Knowledgeable Staff
The Hamner Center staff is known for its excellent standards and friendly, helpful service. Staff members been trained and certified in hospitality, food safety and CPR/AED.
All reservations requests are handled in a "one-stop shop" arrangement through our meeting planner, who accepts reservations and makes arrangements for all supporting requests such as catering, audio-visual equipment, etc.
Our accounting clerk ensures contracts and billing are handled efficiently and accurately.
The two-person staff support unit sets up furniture and basic audio-visual equipment, presents catered food and breaks, and generally assists clients on-site with any other requests they may have for making their event successful.
The Hamner Center director oversees operations, ensuring the highest standards of service and quality are met.
