Books

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center Library houses a small reference collection of books that may be used during library hours (9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. weekdays) but cannot be checked out. The collection includes books on business development, IP and legal issues, professional development, statistics, industry reports, biotechnology and its history in North Carolina, grant writing and other topics related to the business of biotechnology. The library also subscribes to two series of market research reports that are available for use in the library.

Here is a representative list of new titles available in the library;

An online catalog will be available in the future. In the meantime, please contact a librarian for assistance in finding a book. Titles not available in the collection can be ordered for you through interlibrary loan from other libraries. If your location is not convenient to our RTP library, check with your local college or university library - many have reasonably-priced library borrowing cards available to community patrons and local businesses.

For desktop access to scientific handbooks and reference works, contact a librarian about eBook subscriptions for small companies offered through the library's consortial arrangement with Elsevier.
