INC Research, a Raleigh clinical research organization with 25 office locations and a presence in 32 countries, has launched a new division focusing exclusively on therapies for women.
Led by Cynthia Madden, M.D., MPH, the women's health division adds a specialty arm to the CRO, which moved to North Carolina last year with plans to add up to 1,100 new jobs by 2011. The state Department of Commerce promised INC nearly $15 million in exchange for its promise to create at least 984 jobs by 2011 with a minimum average salary of $56,423.
Madden has worked for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Division of Investigational New Drugs, and received additional training at the National Institutes of Health. She completed a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Fellowship, is board certified in emergency medicine and completed an additional residency in preventive medicine.
