More than two years after it was first announced, Wake Forest University is ready to launch its master's degree in bioethics.
The school began accepting applications for the program this month, and classes should begin next August.
Bioethics is the study of ethical issues that arise from advances in biotechnology and biomedicine. The Wake Forest graduate program will be the first of its kind in North Carolina or surrounding states, the school said.
