Microban International of Huntersville will invest $8 million during the next three years and expand its manufacturing facility. The move will create 45 new jobs.
Microban International researches and designs ingredients for use in products to prevent microbial and bacterial growth. The company's products are used in the consumer, industrial and medical markets. The company also maintains offices worldwide, in Canada, the United Kingdom, Thailand and Germany.
The state awarded the company a $45,000 One North Carolina Fund grant, which requires a local community match.
