Burlington-based clinical trials and genetic testing firm LabCorp has signed an agreement with Vanda Pharmaceuticals of Rockville, Md, to develop a series of diagnostic tests based on Vanda drug research.
Vanda identified a series of genetic markers during its development of an anti-schizophrenia drug candidate dubbed Fanapta, and the companies hope their collaboration will lead to products from the discoveries.
Under the terms of the collaboration, LabCorp will be Vanda's exclusive commercialization partner for tests for genetic markers of the Fanapta program. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
