Inclinix Patents Interview Software System

Inclinix Inc. has received a patent for its software system used to qualify patients in clinical trials of new drugs or medical devices.

Inclinix is an enrollment contract research organization (CRO) and clinical trial recruitment provider based in Wilmington. Their patented software, Expert System Platform (ESP), offers a dynamic interview process that automatically tailors questions in response to answers given by a potential clinical trial patient.

ESP can facilitate simultaneous trials by switching prospective candidates to questions for a sponsor's second, third or fourth trial if he or she does not qualify for the first one. The system also has the capability to pull information from prior volunteers who have elected to be included in a database for consideration in future trials.

ESP inventor and Inclinix Chief Operating Officer Chris Sleat said: "The way that the system is built turns the previous interviewing automation processes and logic on its head. With ESP, the data defines the screening logic, so users do not have to think about the structure or dependencies of the interview. ESP is vastly superior to a static interview script."
