Durham's ArtusLabs Lands $2.6M in Venture Funding

Durham-based ArtusLabs, a privately held life science software developer, has closed a $2.6 million round of Series A venture financing, led by Hatteras Venture Partners and Southern Capitol Ventures.

The company's flagship product, Ensemble for Life Science, blends social networking, personal publication, and refined data mining for both internal and external research communication and management.

Hatteras Venture Partners, based in Research Triangle Park, has more than $120 million under management with a focus on biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics, and related opportunities in human medicine.

Southern Capitol Ventures is a Raleigh-based venture capital firm focused on providing capital and guidance to early-stage technology companies across the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic states.
