High Point pharmaceutical company Banner Pharmacaps, Inc. received approval from the Food and Drug Administration for its new drug application for Valproic Acid Delayed Release soft gelatin capsules.
The drug is used for the treatment of manic episodes with bipolar disorder, as therapy in treating multiple seizure types, and to help prevent migraine headaches. Banner, which specializes in the development of soft gelatin dosage of medication, has partnered with Miami-based Noven Pharmaceuticals Inc. to market and sell the product under the brand name Stavzor.
