Nearly 1,000 people attend Biotech 2009The annual gathering of the state's biotechnology community welcomed nearly 1,000 attendees this week. Speakers, which included Gov. Bev Purdue, BIO President and CEO James Greenwood, and Nobel laureate Oliver Smithies, touted the state's strengths in this growing industry, and its potential to grow even more. Attendees and the public also were able to get up-to-the-minute updates via Twitter for the first time.
