Biotech Center Offers One-Stop Shop for Grant Resources
The Gateway to Funding Resources made its debut this week on the North Carolina Biotechnology Center's Web site.
This resource provides links to a wealth of funding sources for researchers, schools, colleges, universities and others. Visitors to the site get help in identifying grant opportunities and preparing successful grant proposals.

Biogen Idec, which employs some 800 people at its manufacturing facility in Research Triangle Park, has been named "Company of the Year" by Pharmaceutical Executive magazine.
BioMedomics, an RTP-based biotech company that got early support through a loan from the Biotechnology Center, has received a $750,000 Phase II Small Business Innovation Research contract from the National Institutes of Health.

RTEC was launched a year ago, integrating existing energy research programs at Duke University, North Carolina State University, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and RTI International to help solve the technical, economic, societal and public-policy problems related to the use of energy.
