Steven Burke, the Biotechnology Center's senior vice president of corporate affairs and chairman of the Biofuels Center of North Carolina's board of directors, has been named acting president of the Biofuels Center.
- Cornerstone Biotechnology, a Cary-based pharmaceutical company focused on developing prescription therapies for respiratory disorders, has named David Price as its executive vice president of finance and CFO. Price, a managing director with Jefferies & Co., will join Cornerstone next month. More
- Wilmington-based AAIPharma has named Scott Neilson as its chief operating officer, responsible for the firm's global drug development services operations. Neilson reports to AAIPharma’s CEO and president, Ludo Reynders. More
- Charles E. Rodes, Ph.D., has been named an RTI senior fellow. Rodes is a nationally recognized expert in the science of exposure to particulate matter and director of the aerosol exposure program at RTI International in Research Triangle Park. More
