$100K Biotechnology Center Grant Funds Plan for Center of Innovation

flowerA group that spans the state from Murphy to Manteo is working together to research the resources that create the state's beauty. Their findings may create nutritional supplements, foods with extra benefits, and health treatment plans that include natural alternative medicines.

The Biotechnology Center recently awarded this group, managed by the Small Business and Technology Development Center's Asheville Office, a $100,000 planning grant to work toward creating the Bent Creek Center of Innovation for Natural Biotechnology and Integrative Medicine.
