Federal Funding Databases
Each federal funding database listed provides a variety of ways to search for opportunities, including keyword searches.
Grants.gov - Primary source to find and apply for federal government grants. Grants.gov simplifies the grants management process and creates a centralized, online process to find and apply for grant programs from the 26 federal grant-making agencies. You can also subscribe to the Grants.gov Funding Alert ListServ.
SBIR Gateway - Includes news items, funding search services, national/regional conferences, solicitation dates, and partnering opportunities.
For more information, the Small Business Technology Development Center (SBTDC) provides resources for SBIR and STTR granting programs.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) - Funds grants, cooperative agreements and contracts that support the advancement of fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems in response to a funding opportunity announcement (FOA). NIH has developed an omnibus parent announcement for use - previously termed as "unsolicited" applications. NIH also provides grant opportunities that support research-related activities. You can subscribe to the NIH Funding Alert ListServ.
National Science Foundation (NSF) - Promotes and advances scientific progress by competitively awarding grants and cooperative agreements for research and education in the sciences, mathematics and engineering. You can subscribe to the NSF update.
Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance - Access to a database of all federal programs available.
Federal Business Opportunities - Search, monitor and retrieve opportunities solicited by the entire Federal contracting company.
