The GENE Exchange Group presents The Genetic Basis of Dietary Adaptations in African Populations featuring Michael C. Campbell, Ph.D., Howard University.

The Genomics Sciences Exchange Group (GENE) supports ongoing collaborative genomics research at the North Carolina Research Campus and stimulates new collaborations in the Greater Charlotte region. GENE serves as a forum for discussing scientific ideas, new directions and data analysis techniques from a wide range of genomic technologies and organisms. The format of this forum is a lecture series open to participants from the region and state. Our goal is to enhance collaboration and communication between local scientists and those at various academic, commercial and government institutions throughout the state and country.

Networking and lunch will be provided at noon, followed by the seminar from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. The NCRC Catalyst Group will lead a roundtable discussion after the presentation.

There is no cost, however registration is required.  Please visit the GENE Exchange Group homepage or email to request notification when registration is open.

Free parking is available in the adjacent parking deck and marked spaces along the street.
