Through a $300,000 grant from the Golden LEAF Foundation, middle school students from Cabarrus County, Kannapolis City, Richmond County, and Rowan-Salisbury Schools are taking part in the BioMoto STEM Challenge.  Students are getting a chance to look at science through fitness from a pit crew's perspective. The two-semester program is teaching students how to use STEM (science, technology, engineering & mathematics) skills to improve their mental and physical fitness in preparation for their own Pit Crew Challenge at the Rockingham Dragway, otherwise known as "THE ROCK."

Agenda:

This culminating event for the 2013-2014 BioMoto STEM Challenge features a Pit Crew Challenge and Invention Showdown (apparatus design competition).  A final schedule of events and registration details will be released closer to the date, so please check back.

Registration:

Students and parents will receive registration information directly from their schools.  Individuals and corporations interested in attending or assisting with the event should contact Susan Hinson at 704-687-8563 or susan_hinson@ncbiotech.org
