Hypertension is a major risk factor for heart attack, stroke, and kidney failure and contributes to 350,000 deaths annually in the US. We seek to obtain essential equipment to continuously monitor basal blood pressure in genetically altered mice. These studies will lead to novel treatment approaches for this debilitating disease.
