This proposal will develop the cell-mediated drug delivery system, where autologous macrophage are utilized for the transport of neuronal growth factors to the brain. We will extend the studies to the MitoPark mouse -- a validated model of Parkinson's disease to assess product's therapeutic potential and evaluate potential neuroprotective effects.
