This project in partnership with Avoca, Inc. a NC agricultural biotechnology company specializing in botanical extractions, will develop an optical scanning method to rapidly quantify clary sage composition. The technique will improve agronomic management of clary sage for commercial processing and production of sclareolide. The project will also characterize other value-added compounds from clary sage.
