Two million laparotomies are performed annually in the U.S., with ventral hernia caused by tension being a frequent complication. To overcome this problem, we have patented a transformative hernia mesh that dissipates tension, is safe in vivo, and overcomes all six failure models of current hernia meshes on the market.
