This project is aimed at establishing a stable plant-based expression platform for expressing humanized glycoproteins. The feasibility of in planta sialylation will be tested by expressing human EPO gene. The successful completion of this project is also expected to provide an alternative and inexpensive way to produce humanized rhEPO.
