Purchase of a new Confocal microscope system allows investigators studying the mechanisms of multiple diseases to image live cell and tissue behavior in both normal and diseased cells. This equipment will help researchers understand how cell and tissue behaviors are regulated and coordinated with cell cycle and cell signaling, leading to a better understanding of diseases such as cancer and polycystic kidney disease, and ultimately to identification of new therapeutic targets.
