Targeting Important Industries
Initial Centers of Innovation enhance efforts already under way across the state to align academic and industrial resources in biotechnology-dependent industries ideally suited for North Carolina’s economic expansion. The first four funded Centers of Innovation are in sectors that were identified to have established strengths in North Carolina. Most are in their Phase I planning stage.
