Advanced Medical Technology
The accelerating convergence of classical medical technologies such as medical devices, medical instruments, diagnostics, and imaging with biotechnology, nanotechnology, information technology and materials science presents an economic opportunity for North Carolina because of our state’s broad strengths in these divergent disciplines.
There are over 400 advanced medical technologies companies in North Carolina, with 9,165 workers that collect an average annual wage of $46,986. Between 1999 and 2006, medical device and AMT companies in NC collectively raised more than $545 million in private and public equity from investors.
The mission of ibiliti and it's directors and staff is to promote growth of North Carolina's emerging medical technologies industry.
