Robert Peterson

Robert Peterson has been a graphic designer for more than 25 years. From concept to production, he enjoys the challenge of creating compelling communications for his clients. His work includes everything from business cards to 2,000 square-foot trade show pavilions. His experience as Graphic Design Director at the Biotechnology Center began in 1998. Robert enjoys working with the Center’s staff because it often presents the opportunity to learn more about life science.
Mr. Peterson received his formal graphic design education at the School of Design at NC State. Now called the College of Design, it’s one of North Carolina’s premiere learning institutions for design education. His career began prior to the advent of computers in graphic design studios. He still enjoys making comps and wields a mean X-ACTO knife.
He has worked at Georgetown University’s Office of Alumni and University Relations; Invisions Ltd., and the American Institute of Architects in Washington, D.C. As a freelance graphic designer, his work has concentrated on book design and other long document projects.
Robert is a member of the American Institute of Graphic Artists. He is also involved in Triangle Off-Road Cyclists, the local IMBA chapter. His interests include Macs, music, motorcycles and mountain bikes.
