Lorie Cornick joined the North Carolina Biotechnology Center's Southeastern Office as its Regional Coordinator in February 2010. Lorie works alongside the Executive Director coordinating, planning and hosting biotechnology events to promote biotechnology in the region. She also works closely with economic development officials, the faculty and staff of educational institutions, and the general public to encourage the expansion of biotechnology in the region.
Lorie and her husband, independent film producer Jon Cornick, relocated from Los Angeles to Wilmington in January 2010. Lorie served 12 years in the U.S. military and is a proud U.S. Navy veteran.
