Lana Archer is the Operations Manager for the Hamner Conference Center where she schedules, plans and coordinates events, coordinates logistical support and follows through on meeting set-ups and with clients after events. Lana’s event experience includes trade shows, board meetings, training sessions, lunch & learns, product launches, corporate events, press conferences and more.

Previously, she worked in the North Carolina Biotechnology Center's library as a meeting planner for the Hamner Conference Center.

Before joining the Center, Lana worked at Campbell Alliance as a Senior Research Associate, and prior to that was Manager of Access Services at the Duke University Medical Center Library.

Lana has been a web and internet marketing consultant for 18 years. She has also worked as a newspaper columnist and has experience and training in corporate communications.


For a long time the Hamner Conference Center at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center was justifiably known for its expertise in business and educational meetings. Now we’re happy to announce that the HCC has graduated to hosting a variety of dynamic and exciting events.

As Thanksgiving feasts give way to holiday carols, the staff of the Hamner Conference Center at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center is thankful to have a chorus of clients singing our praises.
