Kelly Doherty

Kelly is the Project Specialist for the Corporate Communications unit at the North Carolina Biotechnology Center.  She performs email distribution tasks, including formatting messages to align with the Center’s brand and executing mail merges. She also coordinates tradeshow and event logistics, which includes booking exhibit space, coordinating the delivery of exhibit materials and staff travel arrangements. 

She manages the calendar and job board functions of the website and makes edits to the main website, as needed. Kelly also provides administrative support to the Corporate Communications group, organizing logistics and schedules for meetings with internal staff and external visitors.

Prior to joining the Center, Kelly earned a bachelor’s degree of arts in communication studies from North Carolina State University.
