De oversees the proposal submission and review processes for Center grant programs, and supports the applicant community with program information and assistance. She also serves as program manager for the Biotechnology Event Sponsorships.

She received her master’s degree in liberal arts from Duke University and her bachelor’s degree in English from North Carolina State University. Before joining NCBiotech in 2007, she was assistant director for pre-award and database management in the Office of Sponsored Programs and Grants Management at Radford University in Radford, Virginia.
