Carol Robinson

Carol began her career as a military wife and mother. As the family moved to different duty stations, she began to work outside the home and gained experience working at a variety of businesses and governmental agencies.
Prior to joining the Center, Carol worked for the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), located in Morgantown, West Virginia. Her position at NIOSH was project control clerk, which involved processing x-rays for the Coal Miners’ X-ray Surveillance program.
The family decided to return to North Carolina and settle in Durham. Carol joined the Center in September 1994 as a Library Clerical Assistant. She transferred to the Human Resources department in 1999, and has been promoted to several new positions with increasing responsibility during her tenure.
Carol has an associate’s degree in business administration from Durham Technical Community College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from North Carolina Wesleyan College.
