Bill Torkewitz

Bill Torkewitz is the Audio Visual Specialist at the Biotechnology Center. A North Carolina native, he was born and raised in Caldwell, which is more familiarly known as a suburb of Hillsborough. After graduating from Orange High School, he attended Guilford Tech for Recording Engineering and Live Sound Production. Torkewitz's experience includes: working for A&V in Greensboro, where he rose through the company and transferred to the Raleigh area. He then accepted a position with an up and coming multimedia company, Mindworks Multimedia in Durham.

In his personal life he is an accomplished musician, playing guitar, bass, drums and piano. Also playing in, recording and touring with several bands from North Carolina. He has spent time as a pilot and volunteer firefighter. And in is free time he enjoys playing with his dog Sandy, building things and spending time on his boat.
