New Inc. 500 List Includes Three Triangle Companies

Inc. Magazine has just released this year’s “Inc. 500” list, which is the magazine’s ranking of the country’s fastest-growing private companies. The new list includes two biotech companies and a software company from the Triangle.
Clinipace Worldwide, based in Morrisville, ranked highest of the three companies, at No. 260. Clinipace is a digital clinical research organization focusing on new drug and medical device development. According to the magazine, the company has seen 1,382.6% growth over the last three years and netted $18.5 million in revenue in 2011.
NextLot, an online auction software company in Raleigh, made the list at No. 356. The magazine reports that NextLot saw a three-year growth of 1,045.9% and $2.4 million in revenue last year.
BioResource International, also from Morrisville, came in at No. 397. BioResource International is a portfolio company of the North Carolina Biotechnology Center. The company, which develops additives for animal feed, has grown 937.5% over the last three years and reported revenue of $12.7 million in 2011.
