The Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) has invited industry experts in biotechnology, food agriculture, health care, energy, business and government policy to submit proposals for breakout sessions at the 2013 BIO International Convention, which will take place April 22 through 25 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
These breakout sessions will allow participants to “advance a field of thought, gain wide media exposure plus lasting visibility and establish a dialogue amongst their peers,” according to the BIO website. Proposals will be accepted from August 23 until 5 p.m. on September 27. Applicants will be notified of the status of their proposal by mid-December.
The convention will also feature the BIO Business Forum, which will allow presenters to spotlight and pitch their companies to “powerful business development executives, investors, analysts, policy makers and the press.” Applications for the BIO Business Forum company presentations will be accepted beginning January 14th, 2013.
The BIO International Convention is the largest global event for the biotechnology industry. This year’s convention attracted more than 16,500 attendees from 50 states and 65 countries. In addition to offering networking and partnering opportunities, the convention highlights the latest trends and newest opportunities for scientists, executives, investors, policy leaders and media from around the world.
